It is with great pleasure that the practice wishes to announce the appointment of Dr Taraq Waheed as a new GP Partner as of 1 October 2012.

Out of Hours

If you need a doctor in an emergency from 6.30pm to 8.00am weekdays, weekends and bank holidays, ring 0845 408 8000 or, for medical advice, ring an NHS Direct nurse on 0845 4647.

Test Results

Please telephone 01278 764244 between 2pm and 4pm for any results of blood tests, x-rays etc. Give your full name, address and date on which your test was carried out.

We opperate an emergency telephone line for our patients during the following times of the day via the surgery switchboard

8.00am to 8.30am weekdays

If you have an non-urgent issue then please contact the surgery during our normal opening hours.


Alternatively if an emergency occurs during our closed periods please call 999, or for a non-emergency call 111 for advise.

The surgery closes at 12.30pm on the third Tuesday afternoon of each month so that doctors, nurses and administration staff have time for training and development.  Please go to Staff Training Days for more information.


Evenings & Weekends

The medical centre is closed at weekends and bank holidays.

If you need a doctor in an emergency from 6.30pm to 8.00am weekdays, weekends and bank holidays, please telephone the Somerset GP Out of Hours service on Tel: 111.

You can also contact NHS Direct (0845 4647) to speak to a triage nurse. Your needs will be assessed and advice offered or arrangements made for you to see a doctor.


Please do not ask to see a doctor out of hours unless you genuinely cannot wait until the surgery re-opens.

Call 999 in an emergency. Chest pains and / or shortness of breath constitute an emergency.
